I think that making a bully understand that he/she is wrong is obviously a daunting task but it is possible. Most of the times, a person turns to a bully when they have their own insecurities and weaknesses, in which case they know that their actions hurt others, they need to seek help in order to figure their problems out and deal with it in a healthy manner. Other times, they do it because they think it is cool, in which case, only time can mature them to become a better person. Adults around them and people close to the person should monitor their behavior towards others and try to make them understand in a polite manner or seek professional help if needed.
ReplyDeleteIn a situation where we witness someone else getting bullied or us being the victim ourselves, we must either try to sort it out with the person one on one or report to an adult, like a teacher or counsellor who could take further steps and stop the situation. Preaching self love is very important too, so that bullies online or in real life do not get to one and affect them because bullies are not worth ones' time or attention.
I think we can make make a bully understand other people's feelings.A bully is a person who exploits another person's insecurities or secrets that make them vulnerable but they do this, mainly the hide their own insecurity. They often opt for violent behaviour to act out which hurts their victims. The victim’s self confidence is shattered and are deeply hurt. Parents must ask their children about their behaviour or their actions in school to prevent their children to resorting to bullying. They should have a one on one conversation with their children about their insecurities. But this is only possible if parents interfere in their children’s academics and are not ignorant to the fact that their child is a bully and is causing pain to another child. Parents should also see their children’s activity on the computer. Their are many types of bullying like; cyber bullying, verbal bullying, physical bullying etc. In cyber bullying sharks(online predators) wait for their prey (innocent people) after which they extort money. This must be stopped. An anti-cyber bullying task force should be established to routinely check for cyber criminals.
ReplyDeleteWe can make a bully realise that they are hurting a person by opening their eyes or in simpler terms, showing them their actions through the victims eyes. They can be should Ted talks. A sense of trust should be made between a counsellor and the bully so that the bully is not hesitant to open up and talk about his insecurities.
